Onwards and Eastwards and no plan at all.

I write to you from Turkey, where we are en route to Thailand.

There we were in Rehovot, our bags packed and food purchased for our upcoming 3 night backpacking trip in the north, not yet having visited Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, my cousins the Kisselovs, or the Galilee, and we decided in a moment that all we wanted to do was leave.

Hundreds of rockets have fallen in the western Negev this week, a few reaching as far as downtown Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Whether or not you are a person who prays, please send peaceful thoughts to all the people in both Israel and Gaza who are not so lucky as we are to be able to hop a flight and leave behind a situation like this.

We’ll arrive in Bangkok without a single plan – looking forward to a few days of rest and recovery, then new and undiscovered adventures!
