The many occupations of C and J

We’ve spent our days doing things like this:

image

(C carving ostrich eggs)
Or this:

(Our El Hayaen coloring book of fun ostrich facts)
Or this:

(Olive smashing)
Or this:

(J cutting a stencil to paint the logo on trucks)
Or this:

(Baby ostriches trying to thwart the re-painting of the fence by eating the paintbrush. Or the paint.)
Or this:

(C got bored.)

We’ve spent our evenings doing things like this:

(J making friends with the farm kangals. One just had puppies, which are adorable, but now there are 18 of them.)
Or this:

(Fishing in the African jungle . . . I mean the Negev.)
Or this:

(Duck smuggling)
Or this:

(Zumba party?)

Much love!
(C, J, and Mahari enjoying slow-cooked ribs at the cafe)

P.S. In light of an escalating situation which is starting to look a lot like war, we’ve left the Gaza area and are now in Rehovot, where Clara was at the Weizmann in the summer of 2005. We were disappointed to leave the farm, because, among other things, it’s birthing season and things are about to get ridiculously cute. Look! Twin baby goats!
