Well folks, we’re on the road again. Here’s some photos from the past month we spent in Italy – and boy was it a great one.
Italian trains are glorious – unless you’re trying to get anywhere on time. On the plus side, strikes sometimes add days to your weekend vacations!
C in Roma, admiring sculptures and fountains.
J in the mausoleum.
This is what sidewalks look like in Bologna. The arcades make you feel very prestigious and self-important.
Bike parking to rival Berlin.
Bologna: La Dotta, la Rossa, la Grassa. The educated (university town – oldest in Europe), the red (red bricks, and also communists), and the fat (culinary center of creamy pastas and meats). The public library off of Piazza Maggiore and J drooling.
C enjoying a beer in the piazza in Perugia. This seems to be a theme wherever we go.
The trusty Panda. Can’t find them anywhere, but they’re everywhere here.
Italian parking lots.
Civitella Ranieri, the local artist colony.
