Olives and Lavender.

In the past week, we have done afternoon trips to Perugia (our nearest metropolis), to Cortona (Etruscan town perched on the side of a mountain), and to Arezzo (sidetracked by an awesome fair trade festival with live music – never actually saw much of Arezzo, must repeat voyage). We’ve wandered the surrounding hills (though, apparently, a much more dangerous hobby now that cinghiale hunting season is upon us), howled at the full moon, and were invited to dinner at the castle with all of the art fellows. We’ve had countless picturesque, lengthy meals with good conversation, good food, and good wine.

Life is good.
