Catan

Leaving tomorrow am for Nice, France! Had a marvelous time with Lani and Stig in Norway, which looks an awful lot like the board for Settlers of Catan.

Walked around Stavanger in the company of a monstrous cruise ship-full of retirees. Had some delicious fish soup. Also, found out that in Norway, there’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing! So we had some rain, but it didn’t stop us from BBQing on the beach and hiking up to Preikestolen – a 604 m cliff overlooking the fjord. Then we had a ridiculously pleasant stay at an old farmhouse belonging to Stig’s grandfather amongst some bucolic fields and pastures.

All in all, a great week!
